LNA® Finecut 4-Axis CNC Fiber Laser Cutter

The Finecut laser system has been developed for fine cutting and welding applications requiring up to 4 NC axes. The system offers high precision, performance and flexibility combined in a compact, ergonomically designed structure.

The machine structure is built using a steel-welded frame, with a gantry concept for the X-Z axis, while the Y axis is installed on a solid steel plate. Optionally is possible to use a fourth rotary axis. These three / four axes are all CNC controlled.

The working platform on the Y-Axis, uses a T-Slot plate with pin matrix for quick and precise positioning of the parts to process. The control panel is fully integrated into the cabinet. The counter balanced double sliding door (optionally semi-automatic) is “L-Shaped” allowing easy access to the working chamber on both the front and the side of the machine.

There is an enclosed storage area for up to two large gas tanks. The gas control is fully integrated in the front part of the working chamber. The working chamber is illuminated and equipped with an air circulation / exhaust system for recirculating the air inside cabinet. This system is certified “Class I”.

Control
The system control is managed by a Siemens Sinumerik 802D CNC. These CNC features a new generation full-digital and field bus based conception thanks to the use of Profibus-MC.

Laser Cutting Head
Laser cutting head equipped with optional autofocus (permitting to follow the contour of the part at defined distance of the nozzle) and optional anticollision system. Connection interface for fiber laser source.

PC with IP65 Interface
Desktop PC (worldwide Gold Technical Support in one working day), installed in a closed cabinet in the back of the console. Operator interface IP65 with TFT LCD 15”, membrane keyboard and capacitive touchpad. Network connection in the back panel, USB and PS2 connection on the front.

Laser Video System (Frame grabber card, cabling and dedicated PC software with cross-hair generator) – Version PCI or USB
Video acquisition system for displaying the video stream coming from the laser camera system. The software running on the PC allows the operator to display in different sizes the video image, overlaying a cross for referring the Laser beam’s position. To acquire this option, it is necessary to get also the option SU-001A - PC with IP67 frontal Interface. The Camera and the camera adapter for the head are not included.

CAD-CAM Software (2½D version or cutting)
A CAD-CAM software allows to import and to convert graphic files in different formats (CAD, Corel Draw, others…), in order to set-up quickly new models to be cut, starting from an electronic or paper drawing.

The CAM software gives the user the control of all the process parameter, starting from an internal database. Thanks to this solution, just selecting few parameters as the sheet’s dimension, its thickness, the metal type used, the quality required, it is possible to leave the duty to choose all the cutting parameters directly to the software.

The system’s productivity can be strongly improved and the quantity of the metal sheets used can be importantly reduced, thanks to the nesting features. This function, starting from a job list of the parts to cut (models and volumes) adjusts automatically the position and the rotation of each single part, in order to maximize the number of parts in each sheet.
